Kasil® 1

Supplied byPQ Corporation- Last Updated on Jan 24, 2025

Kasil® 1 by PQ Corporation is potassium silicate. It can be used as glue to bond surfaces together when dehydrates. It possesses increased viscosity, tackiness and stickiness when dries.
  • It works well with porous or semi-porous surfaces where it can partially penetrate the surface.
  • It bonds with metal and glass (but surfaces must be roughened or attacked chemically to make sure that a good physical bond can be formed).
  • It is also used for spiral and convolute tubes, cores, fiber drums, angle-, corrugated- and cornerboard.
  • Kasil® 1 is designed for fibrous products such as sisal, fiberglass, wood fabrics, paper and metal foil laminates.
