PTBP (Para tertiary butyl phenol) formaldehyde resin (Novolac). Acts as a non heat reactive thermoplastic unmodified phenolic resin for adhesives. It is designed to give a consistent performance as a reinforcing resin in synthetic and natural rubber based compounds. It provides high hardness. excellent and abrasion resistance when cross linked with a methylene donor. Has applications in rubber adhesives.
