HS0840B by Mitsubishi Chemical is a biomass-based linear polycarbonate diol (with hydroxyl groups at both ends). It easily reacts with isocyanate compounds (such as MDI, TDI, IPDI, H12MDI) and generate polymers with superior characteristics. Exhibits very high chemical (oleic acid & ethanol)- & abrasion resistance, higher mechanical properties, very high hardness, similar non-crystallinity & handling, higher elasticity & breaking strength and lesser flexibility at low temperature in comparison to 16HD polycarbonate diol. Possesses weather resistance & hydrolysis resistance and offers and durability. HS0840B is used in adhesives and sealants.
