MasterSil 153Med by Master Bond is a two-component silicone compound with a paste consistency for high performance bonding and sealing. It is 100% solids
and contains no solvents. It has superb electrical insulation properties, exceptionally long working life and very low exotherm. It possesses self-priming feature and bonds well with cured silicone rubber.
- It is an addition cured system and does not require exposure to air for cross-linking.
- It readily cures at ambient temperatures or faster cure at elevated temperatures.
- It has the ability to withstand severe thermal cycling and resist vibration and shock.
- It provides very long pot life, low shrinkage upon cure, high flexibility, high temperature- and water resistance.
- It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including most metals, many plastics, glass and ceramic.
- It exhibits high tensile lap shear strength and is used for medical device applications.
- It has a shelf life of 6 months.
- MasterSil 153Med is RoHS complaint, meets USP Class VI and ISO 10993-5 specification for Cytotoxicity.
