MasterSil 151Med by Master Bond is a two component, low viscosity, biocompatible silicone compound for high performance potting and encapsulation. It is an addition cured system and does not require exposure to air for complete cross-linking. It exhibits very low shrinkage upon cure, low exotherm, very long pot life, excellent optical clarity and transmission properties.
  • It is 100% solids and contains no solvents.
  • It offers flexibility, high temperature and water resistance and superb electrical insulation properties.
  • It has a convenient ten to one mix ratio by weight, contains no solvents and will not outgas while curing.
  • It readily cures at ambient temperatures or faster cure at elevated temperatures and can cure in thicknesses beyond 1 inch.
  • It exhibits very low shrinkage upon cure, low exotherm, very long pot life, excellent optical clarity and transmission properties.
  • It withstands severe thermal cycling and resists vibration, shock, gamma radiation, ETO and various chemical sterilant.
  • It can be used for encapsulating electronic circuitry, electrical components, LEDs, optical fibers and other optical components in a wide array of medical devices.
  • MasterSil 151Med is RoHS complaint, passes ISO 10993-5 for cytotoxicity and meets USP Class VI specifications.
  • It has a shelf life of 6 months at 75°F, in original unopened containers.
