Carbopol® EP-2 by Lubrizol is an efficient alkali swellable emulsion thickener. Compatible with Lubrizol Hycar® acrylic emulsions, PrintRite® acrylic emulsions, Vycar® PVC emulsions, HyStretch® elastomeric emulsions and Stycar™ emulsions. Exhibits long and leggy rheology, high efficiency and good electrolyte (salt) stability. It stirs directly into latex under low shear and develops viscosity upon addition of neutralizing base. Carbopol® EP-2 is used in emulsion polymer compounds and adhesives. It can be used alone or in conjunction with Carbopol® EP-1 thickener for optimum rheology.
