Mowital® B 16 H

Mowital® B 16 H by Kuraray is polyvinyl butyral (PVB). It shows good compatibility with plasticizers, other resins and able to cross-link with phenolic, epoxide as well as melamine resins. It exhibits high water resistance and varying degree of acetalization. It can be dissolved in single solvents but to obtain low solution viscosities. It is compounded in heated kneaders or extruders with plasticizers and adequate additives. Owing to the excellent adhesion to glass and metals, it is used to bond or laminate these materials and can be applied in solution or as a part of hotmelt. Mowital® B 16 H is used in pressure sensitive adhesives.
