ABIETA™ DRS 314K by KRATON is a potassium salt of dehydrogenated/partially hydrogenated rosin. It can be used as emulsifier in the polymerization process of styrene-butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, polychloroprene and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastics. The neutralization is carried out with potassium hydroxide solution. ABIETA™ DRS 314K can be applied in aqueous systems. It is suitable for the preparation of pigments and air entraining agents as well as for the adhesive industry to improve properties of adhesives on basis of casein, gluten or polymer dispersion. Its shelf life is at least one year.
