KANEKA SILYL™ SAX580

KANEKA SILYL™ SAX580 by Kaneka is a silyl-terminated polyether (STPE) used as a base resin for producing high-performance moisture cure sealants & adhesives utilizing either a hot or cold process. It is high modulus polymer with fast cure with high strength/modulus, good mechanical properties, wide formulating latitude and broad adhesion profile. It results in a lower quantity of catalysts in the formulated products. KANEKA SILYL™ SAX580 provides well-balanced properties such as durability, reactivity, and storage stability. This unique and highly valued balance of attributes is derived from the polyether polymer backbone coupled with the trimethoxysilane functional groups. It is used in fast cure high strength-, industrial- and DIY adhesives & sealants. The shelf life of this product is 6 months.
