RoyOxy® RAR 9438 by Huntsman is epoxy phenol novolac resin. Provides excellent thermal stability and high heat as well as chemical resistance. Has a functionality of ~3.6. It is an ideal binder for abrasives in grinding and polishing products. Can be blended with bisphenol-A and brominated resins to produce laminates for printed circuit boards with improved solder bath resistance. RoyOxy® RAR 9438 can be used in adhesives, structural and electrical laminates and casting applications.
