SpaceRite® S-3 by Huber Engineered Materials is a special purpose, fine crystalline alumina trihydrate (ATH) (99.5%). It is produced through special processing of aluminous feedstock and stringent process control systems resulting in good purity & whiteness. Acts as a flame retardant and extender (invisible up to 5%). Exhibits low oil absorption, high loading capability, high brightness, low specific gravity, UV transparency, excellent dispersion characteristics (7+ Hegman). It is a chemically inert, non-abrasive, low-density material with uniform particles. It can be used as a replacement of titanium dioxide (TiO2) that offers excellent gloss retention, does not impact color and weather resistance. Reduces yellowing in alkyds, improves photoinitiator efficiency and shows no impact on hue and cure speed. SpaceRite® S-3 is used in adhesives. It may be used in accordance with the following 21 CFR Sections: 175.300, 176.170, 176.210, 177.1200, 177.2600, 178.3297, 182.90, 73.1010.
