50% aqueous solution of methoxy polyethyleneglycol 1000 methacrylate. It is an aqueous solution of a long chain methacrylate monoester based on a poly-ethyleneglycol backbone. It is water soluble and contains approximately 23 EO units within the chain. It is used to introduce non-ionic water dispersible groups into acrylic or vinyl polymers. It is also an excellent flexibilizing molecule due to its low glass transition temperature (Tg). Used in water-based pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs).
