DMS -E09

Supplied byGelest (Mitsubishi Chemical)- Last Updated on Sep 5, 2025

DMS -E09 by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical) is a polydimethylsiloxane, epoxypropoxypropyl terminated. It is a difunctional and multifunctional epoxy silicone includes lower molecular weight siloxane with discrete structures and higher molecular weight siloxane with either pendant or terminal epoxy functionalization. Its compatibility with conventional epoxies varies. In simple unfilled systems, total solubility is required but for filled systems, it is often desirable to consider systems that are miscible but have only limited solubility since micro phase separation can allow a mechanism for stress-relief. It selectively imparts a wide range of properties, associated with silicones i.e. low-stress, low temperature properties, dielectric properties as well as release depending on its specific structures and formulations. DMS -E09 is used in encapsulant applications.
