APD by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical) is 1-Allyloxy-2,3-propane diol. It is a colorless liquid. It can be incorporated by chain extension into urethanes or polyesters to provide sites for subsequent crosslinking. APD can also be copolymerized with vinyl, acrylic or other monomers through its allyl group to produce polymers with pendant hydroxyl groups.
