AMS -233 by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical) is (2-4% aminoethylaminopropylmethylsiloxane)- (96-8% dimethylsiloxane) copolymer. Acts as a release agent. This aminoalkylfunctional silicone has a broad array of applications as a result of its chemical reactivity, ability to form hydrogen bonds and chelating ability particularly in the case of diamines. Its additional reactivity can be built into aminoalkyl groups in the form of alkoxy groups. AMS -233 is used in modification of polymers such as epoxies as well as urethanes and in encapsulant applications.
