THIXATROL® AS 8024

THIXATROL® AS 8024 by Elementis is a finely micronized polyamide rheological additive. It is recommended for the use in solvent-borne and solvent-free medium to higher polar liquid organic systems. It is suitable as a thickener, thixotropic or anti-settling agent in caulks, mastics, adhesives, epoxies and sealants.

• It increases viscosity and contributes to pigment suspension.
• It exhibits sag control without sacrificing flow and leveling.
• It controls penetration into porous substrates and does not normally react with system components.
• It has no influence on water-resistance of organic systems.
• It is non-yellowing (in the final formulation).
• It imparts excellent package stability and reproducibility.
• Recommended dosage level of 0.5-1.5%.
• THIXATROL® AS 8024 has a shelf life of 4 years.
