Bentone SD® -1 by Elementis is a very easily dispersible rheological additive. It is an organic derivative of bentonite clay designed for non-polar to medium-polarity aliphatic and other solvent systems.
- It provides thickening & stable viscosity build, controls sag and prevents settling of pigments & fillers.
- It is a cost-effective replacement for conventional organoclay additives.
- It eliminates the need for high shear, pregels, and polar activators.
- It is suitable for silane modified-, silicone-, PU-, & solvent-free adhesives and sealants.
- Recommended dosage level of Bentone SD® -1 is 0.2-2.0% by weight of the system.
- It has a shelf life of 4 years.
