Bentone® 54

Bentone® 54 by Elementis acts as a rheology modifier based on organic derivative of a bentonite clay. It enhances viscosity and provides thixotropic properties, preventing pigment settling during storage and syneresis in thixotropic systems. It offers improved dispersibility that increases flexibility in the paint manufacturing process.

• It also improves flow and leveling while controlling sagging on vertical surfaces and penetration on porous substrates.
• It is designed for low to intermediate polarity organic systems.
• It is suitable for formulating adhesives and underbody sealants.
