ROCRYL™ 400 by Dow is hydroxyethyl methacrylate monomer (HEMA). It provides hydrophilicity, crosslinking sites and improved adhesion to polymer products. It copolymerizes readily with a wide variety of monomers.
  • It offers hydrophilicity, improved adhesion to substrates, crosslinking sites, corrosion, fogging, and abrasion resistance.
  • The free hydroxy group reacts readily with isocyanate, anhydrides and epoxy resins.
  • Also contributes to low odor, color and volatility.
  • ROCRYL™ 400 is used in acrylic polyols, caprolactone monomers, printing plates, finish coatings for motor vehicles, appliances and metals.
  • Also recommended for adhesives, sealants, binders and soft gel contact lenses.
