Nipacide® BFC

Nipacide® BFC by Clariant is a mixture of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT), 5-chloro-2-methyl-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT/MIT) and formaldehyde releasers. Acts as an in-can biocide/fungicide/bactericide. It is relatively stable against reducing agents but starts to degrade in the presence of strong oxidizing agents like hydrogen peroxide. It prevents microbial growth. The recommended dose level is 0.1-0.3%. Nipacide® BFC complies with following regulations: CMIT/MIT and formaldehyde releasers.
