Vinamul® 3171 by Celanese is an aqueous, polyvinyl alcohol stabilized vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer. It exhibits very high cohesive strength and broad adhesion profile including paper and board, even when plasticized. Vinamul® 3171 offers high speed machining, fast setting speed and high level of bond security. It exhibits low-viscosity and high heat resistance. This copolymer forms a tough, flexible, glossy and tack-free film. It is used in polar films & foils and packaging adhesives. The shelf life of the product is 6 months.
