GUR® UHMW-PE (20 µm) by Celanese is an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene-based filler. It provides scratch & abrasion resistance, impact strength, surface effects, energy absorption at high speed impact and mechanical & dimensional thermostability. It exhibits a rubber-elastic behavior in molten state because of very high viscosity and maintains particle shape & unique morphology. This micro powder allows excellent dispersion and helps phase binding with other materials. GUR® UHMW-PE (20 µm) shows reduced water & moisture absorption, very good resistance to aggressive media except strong oxidizing acids. It is used in sealant to reduce cohesive forces. The dosage varies from 3% to 10% (-265°C to 90°C) by weight.
