Optislip™ SR (Bead) (Formerly Crodamide™ SR (Bead)) by Cargill is an animal-originated, refined stearamine-based mold release additive. It offers slip and anti-blocking properties at low temperatures.
- It provides low melt viscosity and good wetting resulting in improved adhesion.
- It quickly migrates to the surface of the polymer to form a thin lubricating layer which reduces the coefficient of friction.
- It is recommended for adhesive pellets such as polyamide, EVA hotmelts and adhesive films.
- It forms a non-sticking release layer and is compatible with polyolefins and rubber.
- The recommended dosage levels are around 500-2000 ppm in films and 0.2-1.0 % in molding applications.
- Optislip™ SR (Bead) is applicable in sealants and has a shelf life of 365 days.
