Nanogel® Translucent Aerogel

Nanogel® Translucent Aerogel by Cabot is irregularly shaped particles of translucent aerogel. Acts as a rheology modifier. Controls optical properties, particle size, particle distribution and porosity during product manufacturing. Suits for highly filled, high viscous thixotropic formulations. Provides high reinforcement at low concentrations, flowability, friability, open porosity and stability over a wide range of temperatures and pH. Gives stronger adhesion, higher transparency, lower concentration, faster recovery time, less sag, better viscosity stability, decreased rest tack after curing, increased shore hardness, less bleeding and smooth surface appearance. Imparts improved light transmission and thermal insulation and reduced energy consumption. It is compatible with epoxies, acrylics, polyurethanes, and cyanoacrylates. Nanogel® Translucent Aerogel is used in pressure sensitive adhesives.
