Nanogel® IR Opacified Aerogel Beads

Supplied byCabot- Last Updated on Jan 23, 2019

Pale brown, free flowing, spherical particles, amourphous. Acts as a rheology modifier. Contains fine particles of titanium dioxide to provide very good thermal performance in a variety of applications. Controls optical properties, particle size, particle distribution and porosity during product manufacturing. Suits for highly filled, high viscous thixotropic formulations. Provides high reinforcement at low concentrations, flowability, friability, open porosity and stability over a wide range of temperatures and pH. Gives stronger adhesion, higher transparency, lower concentration, faster recovery time, less sag, better viscosity stability, decreased rest tack after curing, increased shore hardness, less bleeding and smooth surface appearance. It is compatible with epoxies, acrylics, polyurethanes, and cyanoacrylates. Used in pressure sensitive adhesives.
