Irganox® 565

Irganox® 565 by BASF is a non-staining, multifunctional phenolic antioxidant with high molecular weight. It is chemically composed of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-(4,6-bis(octylthio)-1,3,5-triazin-2-ylamino) phenol. It is compatible with polybutadiene (BR), polyisoprene (IR), emulsion styrene butadiene (ESBR), nitrile rubber (NBR), carboxylated SBR latex (XSBR), and styrenic block copolymers such as SBS and SIS, ABS, impact polystyrene, polyamides, TPE and polyolefins. Used in hot melt and solvent-based adhesives. Its usage level ranges between 0.05% to 0.5%. It is listed in AICS, DSL, China, EINECS, MITI, ECL, PICCS and TSCA. Irganox® 565 is approved in many countries for use in food contact applications.
