Irganox® 1520 LR by BASF is an antioxidant for processing and long-term thermal stabilization. It contains blend of 98% 4,6-bis (octylthiomethyl)-o-cresol and 2% of epoxidized soya bean oil. It is non-staining, non-discoloring, low in volatility and stable to light and heat. It effectively protects the substrate against thermo-oxidative degradation during processing and long term heat aging. It is compatible with thermoplastic elastomers including BR, SBR, NBR, IR, SBS, SIS and natural rubber. Used in organic substrates such as elastomers, plastics etc. Its recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.3%. It is suitable for food contact applications. Irganox® 1520 LR is listed in Australia, Canada, China, EU, Japan, Korea, Philippines and USA.
