Empol® 1016 by BASF is a light-colored oleic acid. It is made up of 80% dibasic acid, 16% polybasic acid, and 4% monobasic acid. It is a dimer acid that has not been distilled for use in adhesives. Empol® 1016 are imparted by extremely desirable qualities of flexibility, elasticity, and high impact strength.
