Attagel® 17

Attagel® 17 by BASF is coarser-particle-sized, specialty attapulgite. Used as a very good thixotropic thickening agent for water-borne and solvent systems in adhesives, sealants and caulks. Provides sag resistance, viscosity control, spreadability and very good feathering at low cost. Offers syneresis (liquid separation) control, pigment suspension, good film build, reduced water sensitivity, bacteria, chemical and spatter resistance, very good binding and tabletting features and improved extrusion properties. Attagel® 17 suits for less demanding thickening and gelling applications.
