Akrochem® Zinc Oxide Transparent 9930

Akrochem® Zinc Oxide Transparent 9930 by Akrochem is an accelerator activator of extremely fine particle size. It acts as an acid acceptor in polychloroprene adhesives and used to achieve long open-tack times in the absence of magnesium- and regular zinc oxide grades. The latter two products reduce open time by reacting with terpene phenolic and phenolic resin, which are typical tackifiers for polychloroprene adhesives. It possesses very good dispersion characteristics in rubber compounds. Akrochem® Zinc Oxide Transparent 9930 raises compound viscosity and at a high level of addition, increases thermal conductivity and has a stiffening effect, improving the dimensional stability of extrusion and open cured goods. It does not cause a color change in vulcanizates and increase level enhances the mechanical properties of rubber goods, tear- and abrasion resistance.
