Pigment Dispersions

Pigment dispersions typically appear as colored, stable liquid suspensions or pastes that deliver consistent coloration and opacity in adhesives and sealants. These dispersions are pre-formulated mixtures of pigments and dispersing agents, designed to optimize color development, prevent settling, and ensure easy incorporation into systems. Key features include excellent color uniformity, batch-to-batch consistency, and strong resistance to light, heat, and chemicals. They are commonly used in construction sealants, caulks, and specialty adhesives where visual cues, branding, or surface coverage are important. 

Alternatives include dry pigments or masterbatches, though dispersions are often preferred for ease of handling and better dispersion quality in both water- and solvent-based systems.
