Monoacid Monomers

Monoacid monomers are known for outstanding adhesion to metals and oxides, excellent reactivity with epoxides and alcohols, and ability to improve coating adhesion properties. They are used in electronic assemblies, metal bonding, and primer formulations where their unique adhesion-promoting characteristics ensure reliable performance on difficult surfaces. 

Sub-types include acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and long-chain fatty acids. Recent innovations focus on specialty monoacid monomers with reduced odor and improved handling characteristics and the development of bio-based monoacid monomers derived from renewable resources.
