Coalescing Agents for Adhesives and Sealants

ADM CA118 by ADM acts as a coalescing agent. It is a bio-based additive that can replace traditional coalescing solvents and lower the overall paint VOC content. It is used in caulks and adhesives. ADM CA118 complies with VOC regulations.

Amphi™ CH by Locus Ingredients is a natural, sustainable, gentle, multifunctional biosurfactant, dispersant and emulsifier. It is a GMO-free, hydrophilic wetting and coalescing agent.

Arcosolv® DPM by LyondellBasell is propylene glycol ether solvent. Possesses low toxicity, mild, pleasant odor, low vapor pressure and slow evaporation rate. Provides good solvency for a wide variety of resins including acrylic, epoxies, alkyds, polyesters, nitrocellulose and polyurethanes. Arcosolv® DPM is designed for adhesive applications.

EPOXOL® EP159 by ACS Technical Products is a bio-based, non-fugitive & ultra-low VOC coalescing agent and plasticizer. It is non-hazardous with good stability and low HLB.

• It exhibits good cold temperature flexibility, block and dirt pick-up resistance.
• It provides improved hydrophobicity and excellent water resistance.
• It can be used as an alternative to phthalate, benzoate and citrate-ester plasticizer.

EPOXOL® EP193 by ACS Technical Products is a bio-based, non-fugitive & ultra-low VOC plasticizer and coalescing agent. It offers good stability, low HLB and high solvency.

• It provides good cold temperature flexibility, excellent water resistance and maximum dirt pick-up resistance.
• It is a non-yellowing effective acid scavenger with a very high partitioning coefficient.
• It is non-hazardous and can be used as an alternative to solvents, phthalate, benzoate, and citrate-ester plasticizers.
• EPOXOL® EP193 is designed for caulks, adhesives and sealants.
• It is biodegradable and has shelf life of 2 years.

EPOXOL® CA118 by ACS Technical Products is an environment-friendly, VOC-free, non-yellowing & non-fugitive aliphatic coalescent and plasticizer. It has a high bio-derived content, making it an excellent choice for renewable formulations. It is suitable for sealants, adhesives, caulks and mastics. It is very hydrophobic and has low HLB & very low viscosity.

• Exhibits excellent solvency, excellent water- and scrub resistance, and good block properties.
• It is non-hazardous and can replace alcohol esters, glycol ethers, low VOC coalescing agents, benzoates, phthalates and citrate ester plasticizers.
• Due to its long chain structure, it is non-volatile and shows superior plasticization.

Eastman Texanol™ Ester Alcohol by Eastman is a non-VOC, non-HAP, non-SARA, low toxicity, readily bio-degradable premier coalescent and retarder solvent. It exhibits excellent hydrolytic stability, low flammability rating, freezing point and water solubility. Eastman Texanol™ Ester Alcohol is recommended for adhesives & sealants - b&c and graphic arts.

Eastman Optifilm™ Enhancer 300 by Eastman is a readily biodegradable, efficient, low odor, low toxicity, LVP-VOC, Non-HAP, Non-SARA, excellent retarder solvent & coalescent.
