Formulators can now source EU Article 95-listed BBIT from Vink Chemicals

Formulators working on metalworking fluid concentrates, silicone sealants, and water-miscible cooling lubricants can now source BBIT-based active substances and ready-to-use formulations directly from Vink Chemicals, following the company's Article 95 listing under the EU Biocidal Products Regulation.
Products available for evaluation
The available range includes both active substance grades and formulated solutions:
- Activink® BBIT 97 - active substance grade intended for formulators of biocidal products
- Vinkocide® BBIT 97 - biocide grade for use in metalworking fluid concentrates and silicone sealant manufacturing
- parmetol® BPX - ready-to-use formulation for household, industrial and institutional (HI&I) applications, paints and coatings, and cooling lubricants
- Vinkocide® BB WM - ready-to-use formulation for post-treatment in metalworking fluids; water-soluble, designed to enable BBIT use in aqueous systems
According to Ingo Krull, technical sales manager TB Europe at Vink Chemicals, the addition of Vinkocide® BBIT 97 completes the company's active ingredient portfolio for water-miscible cooling lubricants, complementing the existing water-soluble Vinkocide® BB WM formulation.
The Article 95 listing is a mandatory compliance requirement under the EU Biocidal Products Regulation. It confirms that Vink Chemicals has submitted the required dossier for the active substance BBIT and is authorized to supply it for use in biocidal product formulations within the EU. Formulators sourcing BBIT-containing ingredients from listed suppliers avoid regulatory exposure under Article 95 enforcement timelines.
