Last update on Jun 18, 2024
Kuraray announces its participation at FOAM EXPO North America, taking place at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi, Michigan, USA from June 25-27, 2024. The three-day premier event will explore an array of topics including molded and thermal solutions to lightweighting, noise control, rigid and flexible foams, along with insights into the cutting-edge machinery and services that drive foam industry progress.
Over 450+ exhibitors will showcase their latest foam technologies in automotive, aerospace, transportation, furniture, mattress and bedding, medical devices, footwear, sportswear, and apparel.
Kuraray will introduce Kuraray Polyol at their booth number 1730.
Key Benefits of Kuraray Polyols
Kuraray will introduce their variety of MPD-based polyols with various molecular weights. The portfolio includes polyester polyols (P-series) and polycarbonate polyols (C-series). Kuraray polyols offer low viscosity due to the branched structure of the MPD. They are well-suited in many applications as constituents of polyurethane resins.
The methyl branch of Kuraray polyols provides significant advantages such as luxurious feel, softness, good solubility to solvents, better miscibility with other polymers, high transparency, good adhesiveness, and improved hydrolysis resistance.
Amongst these, the most prominent ones for adhesives are:
- Improved thermal conductivity: Low viscosity Kuraray Polyol allows for high filler content
- Good adhesion to Aluminum: Possible to maintain the performance under high temperature and humidity
- Maintain rubber elasticity as PUR from low to high temperature: Possible to use in cold regions
