DuPont completes aramid business divestiture to Arclin for USD 1.8 billion

DuPont has announced the completion of divestiture of its aramids business (Kevlar® and Nomex®) to Arclin, in a transaction valuing the business at approximately $1.8 billion.

With the close of the transaction, DuPont is expected to receive approximately $1.2 billion in pre-tax cash proceeds, subject to customary transaction adjustments, along with a $300 million note receivable and a non-controlling common equity interest in Arclin valued at $325 million, representing an approximate 16% stake.

According to the company, the results of the aramids business were reclassified and reported as discontinued operations beginning in third quarter 2025 for current and historical periods.
