BYK to Highlight Wax Additives & PFAS-free Defoamers at ECS 2025

These topics reflect BYK's commitment to develop sustainable solutions for adhesives industry.
Sustainable Research
BYK develops environmentally friendly products such as the wax additives CERAFLOUR® 1003 and CERAFLOUR® 1004 or the new VOC, mineral oil, and silicone-free powder defoamer BYK-1693 SD for aqueous, mineral, and dispersion-based building material formulations that minimize the environmental footprint while meeting the highest performance standards. These innovative additive solutions help customers achieve their own sustainability goals and protect the environment.
BYK has developed additives for formulating PFAS-free systems. Technical solutions such as the newly developed defoamers BYK-1810, BYK-1811, BYK-1815, BYK-1816, and BYK-1818 perform without the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. These solutions reduce environmental impact while meeting the high demands of customers.
Systematically Reducing Product Development Times
In addition, BYK is presenting its fully automated high throughput screening (HTS) facility, which performs serial tests with speed and efficiency. The ability to test up to 220 samples in just 24 hours shortens development cycles, improves product quality and enables customers to be supplied with customized additives even faster.
