Biesterfeld Group Acquires Tat Lee's Silicone Distribution Business in Singapore

GME Chemicals (S) Pte Ltd, part of the Biesterfeld Group since 2021, has acquired the entire distribution business of Tat Lee Engineering Private Limited. The closing took place on February 3, 2025. Tat Lee is active in the manufacturing and supply of gaskets and related sealing products as well as in the distribution of high-performance silicone materials in Singapore. Obtained Distribution Rights for DOWSIL
With the acquisition of the distribution business, GME Chemicals obtains the distribution rights for DOWSIL high-performance silicone materials from DOW. DOWSIL are mainly silicone-based products that have been specially developed for the automotive, electronics and lighting industry.
They offer solutions for performance, protection and manufacturing efficiency. Key products include materials for thermal management, encapsulants and potting compounds, silicone adhesives and sealants and conformal coatings.
With the acquisition, a team from Tat Lee of four in sales and customer service will also join GME Chemicals. Mr Sam Ho, managing director of Tat Lee states, 'I am very pleased to know that our distribution business and my team are in very good hands after the sale and wish each of them with GME and Biesterfeld all the best – now my team and me, we can concentrate fully on production as our core business as planned."
