BASF commissions 2-EHA storage tank in Indonesia for faster regional supply

BASF has commissioned a dedicated 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA) storage tank at its Merak, Indonesia site. According to BASF, the facility is intended to reduce lead times and increase supply flexibility for customers in Indonesia and broader ASEAN markets.

Strengthen supply chain resilience & increase operational flexibility
The Merak facility connects to BASF's broader acrylic esters production network in Asia Pacific, which includes BASF PETRONAS Chemicals in Malaysia and a 2-EHA production site at the Zhanjiang Verbund site in China.
