Tallicin® Grinding Vehicle 1510 is a specialty acrylic resin. It acts as an anti-settling agent. Produces very high quality pigment dispersions in a wide variety of plastic systems. Lowers viscosity of pigment paste and provides higher pigment loading for systems when used alone or in conjunction with existing resin in formulation. Imparts effective anti-settling characteristics. Allows faster grinding and often achieves "off the gauge" grind. Offers infinite solubility in mineral spirits. Recommended for use with a broad spectrum of resin systems, including long, medium and short oil alkyds, vinyls, hydroxylated and nonhydroxylated polyesters, saturated and unsaturated polyesters, urethanes (both completely reacted and hydroxylated polyesters for two-component systems), epoxies, acrylics, nitrocellulose and melamines. Tallicin® 3405 by Pflaumer Brothers is a complex solution of salt of an unsaturated polyamine amide and acid-functional polymers. It acts as a pigment dispersant, wetting agent, viscosity reducer and stabilizer. Provides good wetting characteristics and very stable dispersions. Suitable for non-aqueous systems containing petroleum solvents, petroleum oils, and oxygenated solvents. Compatible with alkyds, acrylics, drying oils, saturated polyesters, epoxy esters, two-component epoxies, oil-modified urethanes, vinyls, amino resins and plasticizers (used in vinyl plastisols and similar systems). Applicable for both organic and inorganic pigments. Tallicin® 3405 should be added to the mill base at a loading of 0.5-7.5% based on inorganic pigments and 2.5-25% based on organic pigments.
