Advantex® CM 6060 by 3B is glass fiber. It is compatible with unsaturated thermoset matrices like unfilled or fi¬lled unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy resin systems. It is bonded with a silane coupling agent. Advantex® CM 6060 is used to make non-woven mat which is ideally suited for pultrusion processes for wide, long and heavy parts but as well for narrow and complex pro¬files. It possesses excellent mechanical properties combined with good electrical properties of the resins make the molded parts attractive for applications like the electrical apparatus (high voltage), transportation and automotive industries, infrastructures equipments.
Advantex® DS 8165-10P by 3B is glass fiber chopped strand. It is designed to reinforce high temperature thermoplastics, such as PES, PSU, PPSU, PEI & PEEK. It exhibits excellent mechanical properties, especially stiffness and high heat stability. Also, offers an excellent dispersion in a large range of resin viscosities, even at high glass fibre loading (>55%). Advantex® DS 8165-10P displays excellent feeding properties with very low fuzz generation. It is designed for a wide range of applications in automotive (gears, bearing cages & thrust washers), mechanical engineering (rings, wheels, impellers, flow meter parts & pump components), electronics (chip carrier, USB connectors, sockets & trails) and aerospace (gear parts).
HiPer-tex™ W2020 by 3B is glass fiber roving. It is compatible with epoxide resin. It consists of continuous filaments bonded into a single strand. It is corrosion-, hydrolysis- and thermal resistant and imparts high fatigue performances to composites parts. It leads to superior interfiber and interlaminar shear strengths as well as dynamic performances. It is perfectly suited for the production of high modulus non crimped glass fabrics and prepregs. HiPer-tex™ W2020 is approved by Germanischer Lloyd for the use in wind turbine rotor blades.
