Exolit® OP 1312 by Clariant is a halogen-free, organic phosphinate. Acts as a flame retardant. Exhibits intumescence, good colorability, very good physical and electrical properties. Shows low smoke toxicity, good contrast in laser marking and low material density. Exolit® OP 1312 provides a heat-insulating effect, reduces oxygen access and prevents dripping of the molten polymer. Recommended dosage level is 15-20%. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
