KetaSpire® KT-880 GF20 by Syensqo is a radiotranslucent, high flow, biocompatible, polyether ether ketone (PEEK) compound, reinforced with 20% glass fiber. The level of reinforcement affords greater mechanical robustness in structural applications, particularly those with service temperatures approaching 240°C. Possesses high strength, stiffness with toughness-related properties such as impact resistance and elongation at break. Exhibits high purity, flame retardance, ease of melt processing and excellent chemical resistance to organics, acids and bases. Offers good sterilizability and good dimensional stability. It is sterilized by autoclave, E-beam, ethylene oxide, heat, radiation and steam. Shows resistance to radiation (gamma), wear, fatigue, high heat and steam. KetaSpire® KT-880 GF20 is designed for processing by injection molding. Used in connectors, chemical processing, aircraft, automotive, dental, electrical/ electronic, film, hospital goods, industrial, medical devices, pump parts, seals, surgical instruments, healthcare, transportation, oil and gas applications. Complies with MIL P-46183 Type II Class 2 agency rating.
