RANBAR® 1488 by Hunstman is a vinyl toluene alkyd copolymer that contains linseed oil. Used in the manufacture of fast air-drying machinery enamels and primers. It offers good film hardness, fair to poor flexibility and good early water resistance. To improve the mar resistance of the coating, approximately 10% melamine resin is added and cured for 20 minutes at 250°F. RANBAR® 1488 is applicable in traffic marking paints, aerosol enamels & primers, hammertone finishes, electrical insulating paints, drum enamels, furniture and flat board finishes. RANBAR® 5017-M-60 by Huntsman is chlorendic modified alkyd resin. It shows good film hardness, flexibility, durability and gloss retention. It is formulated to impart improved fire retardancy and decreased dry time. RANBAR® 5017-M-60 is used in brush or spray applications and limited use for baking finishes due to low hydroxyl functionality. It is also suitable for interior-, exterior trim-, traffic marking paints and truck-, furniture-, trade sales finishes and dry fog coatings. It can be diluted in mineral spirits. RANBAR® 4996 by Huntsman is a long oil reducible alkyd resin. It shows excellent flexibility, good gloss retention and durability. RANBAR® 4996 is suitable for interior/exterior, railroad and architectural finishes. It is also used in deck, hot melt coatings and stains. RANBAR® 4070-M-70 by Hunstman is a long soya oil alkyd resin. It provides excellent flexibility, good gloss retention and durability. It is suitable for interior/exterior architectural finishes, porch & deck enamels, deck coatings and stains. RANBAR® 4070-M-70 is also used in equipment enamels, railroad finishes and maintenance paints. RANBAR® 4892-SD-50 by Huntsman is a tall oil fatty acid epoxy ester intended for cross-linking with melamine or urea-formaldehyde resins. Offers very good adhesion to metals and good inter-coat adhesion when formulated into baking primers and enamels. It gives fair exterior durability, an excellent combination of film hardness & flexibility, good corrosion- and chemical resistance. RANBAR® 4892-SD-50 is suitable for primers & coatings for metal surfaces, floor, metal deco & aerosol finishes, electrical insulating-, OEM- and coil coatings. RANBAR® 4984-MBA-80 by Huntsman is a HAPs-free, high solid, chain-stopped short-oil alkyd resin used for air/force-dry and baking applications. It gives a combination of hardness & flexibility and humidity & salt spray resistance when cross-linked. It imparts better abrasion- and chemical resistance than air-dried finishes. RANBAR® 4984-MBA-80 is applicable in traffic marking, truck & aerosol paints, drum/metal container finishes & office furniture finishes, coil-, industrial-, OEM- and prefinished flat board coatings. RANBAR® 4489-M-60 by Huntsman is a silicone modified, long soya oil alkyd resin. It provides superior weathering and gloss retention, good water resistance, film hardness and heat resistance. Applications include high-quality architectural finishes, exterior tank coatings, bridge coatings and electrically insulating coatings. RANBAR® 4489-M-60 is also used in railroad finishes, high-quality maintenance finishes and heat-resistant coatings. RANBAR® 4915-PMA-85 by Huntsman is high solids, short oil alkyd resin which is cut to 85% non-volatile in PM acetate solvent. It has a good cure response with melamine/butylated melamine type resins and offers a fast reduction curve in aromatic and oxygenated solvents. Suitable for air dry/force dry and baking finishes. It has a fast set to touch and tack-free times. Provides a good combination of hardness & flexibility, abrasion resistance, good humidity & salt spray resistance when cross-linked. Possesses better chemical resistance than air-dried finishes. RANBAR® 4915-PMA-85 is recommended for traffic marking-, truck- & aerosol-paints and coil-, drum/metal- & pre-finished flat-board coatings. RANBAR® 4714-P-75 by Huntsman is a low VOC, chain stopped, water-soluble alkyd resin. It offers a good combination of hardness & flexibility, excellent corrosion resistance, good adhesion to steel and non-ferrous metals. It also imparts gloss retention and a fast rate of air dry properties. RANBAR® 4714-P-75 can be air/force dried or cross-linked with melamine. Applications include automotive underbody & underhood, coil coating, electrical insulating enamels, dip tank coatings, office furniture finishes, drum/metal container finishes, industrial baking enamels and primers. RANBAR® 4965-XMP-80 by Huntsman is a high solid, fast-drying, silicone modified mixed dry oil alkyd resin suitable for industrial coatings. It offers good gloss retention, weathering, film hardness, water- and heat resistance. It exhibits excellent adhesion to most metal surfaces. RANBAR® 4965-XMP-80 is used in high-quality architectural finishes, railroad finishes, high-quality maintenance finishes, exterior tank-, bridge-, electrical insulating, and heat-resistant coatings.
