ESCAT™ 110 by Estron Chemical acts as a catalyst. It reduces the cure temperature of a particular system or shorten the required bake time at a given cure temperature. It is used to accelerate the cure of powder coatings based on the carboxyl-epoxy reaction, or for pure epoxy systems. Typical systems include hybrids such as polyester-epoxy, carboxyl acrylic-epoxy, and polyesters cured by GMA functional acrylics. It also accelerates polyester-TGIC and polyester-PT-910. ESCAT™ 110 is used in powder coatings. Purified imidazole. Acts as a catalyst. It accelerates the cure of coatings that are responsive to imidazole catalysis. It can catalyze hybrids such as polyester-epoxy, carboxyl acrylic-epoxy, polyesters cured by GMA-functional acrylics, polyester-TGIC and polyester-PT-910. It reduces the cure temperature of a particular system and shortens the required bake time at a given cure temperature when compared to non-catalyzed systems. It provides less yellowing and improved catalysis when compared to competitive imidazole catalysts on silica. Used in powder coatings. ESCAT™ 22 by Estron Chemical is a imidazole. Acts as a catalyst. It improves the mechanical and solvent resistance properties of coatings cured with the Isocryl matting hardeners. It is easy to disperse and reliable in performance. Used in matte polyester powder coatings. Active imidazole. Acts as a catalyst. It facilitates dispersion and avoids hot spots of the catalyst during powder manufacture. It accelerates the cure of coatings based on the carboxyl-epoxy reaction, or for pure epoxy systems as well. It also accelerates hybrids such as polyester-epoxy, carboxyl acrylic-epoxy, polyesters cured by GMA-functional acrylics, polyester-TGIC and polyester-PT-910 reactions. It can reduce the cure temperature of a particular system or shorten the required bake time at a given cure temperature without sacrificing DOI or flow and leveling properties. It may also reduce star cracking on impact. Used in powder coatings.
