Lumicryl® 1909 by Estron Chemical is a polyfunctional acrylic macromer diluted in TCDDMDA. Acts as an adhesion promoter. It may be appropriate for use as the major film forming component of UV curable coatings. Appropriately cured, films made from it, have pencil hardness of 7H while maintaining excellent adhesion to metallic and low surface energy substrates. It can be blended with various UV/EB curable reactive diluents or oligomers to enhance certain coating attributes. It has been shown to be an effective pigment wetting and dispersing aid. Lumicryl® 1909 is used in paper, wood, flooring, electronics, plastics, metal coatings and overprint varnish.
