ESCAT™ 110 by Estron Chemical acts as a catalyst. It reduces the cure temperature of a particular system or shorten the required bake time at a given cure temperature. It is used to accelerate the cure of powder coatings based on the carboxyl-epoxy reaction, or for pure epoxy systems. Typical systems include hybrids such as polyester-epoxy, carboxyl acrylic-epoxy, and polyesters cured by GMA functional acrylics. It also accelerates polyester-TGIC and polyester-PT-910. ESCAT™ 110 is used in powder coatings.
