BYK® -9076

Supplied byBYK- Last Updated on Jul 10, 2024

BYK® -9076 by BYK is alkyl ammonium salt of a high molecular weight copolymer. It acts as a wetting and dispersing additive. It deflocculates pigments by means of steric stabilization. Repulsion effect and the steric stabilization prevent any co-flocculation which leads to non-floating coloring in pigment blends.
  • It also generates a uniform electrical charge in the pigment particles.
  • It offers high levels of gloss, and improved color strength.
  • Reduces viscosity, improves flow, and allows high pigment load.
  • The transparency is increased in transparent pigments and the hiding power in opaque pigments.
  • It is suitable for all pigments and for stabilizing acidic and neutral carbon black pigments.
  • It is used in solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings.
  • It is applicable for pigment concentrates and does not contain plasticizers.
  • Its recommended use level is 1-3% for titanium dioxides, 5-10% for inorganic pigments, 10-25% for organic pigments and 15-50% for carbon blacks.
  • It complies with REACH and is listed in the following inventories EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI.
  • BYK® -9076 has a shelf life of 36 months.
