BYK® -9076

Supplied byBYK- Last Updated on Feb 19, 2021

BYK® -9076 is alkylammonium salt of a polycarboxylic acid. Acts as wetting and dispersing agent. This high molecular weight additive deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments. Provides equal electrical charge to pigments and thus avoids additionally possible co-flocculation of pigments that are not equally charged. Reduces viscosity; subsequently, leveling is improved and it is especially suited for stabilizing acidic and neutral carbon black pigments. It is used for solvent-free, PUR and polyester adhesives. Its recommended level is 15 - 50% additve based upon carbon blacks, 5 - 10% inorganic pigments, 10 - 25% organic pigments and 1 - 3% titanium dioxide.
