SpecialChem is headquartered in Paris, France and manages subsidiaries or representative
offices in Atlanta (USA), New Delhi (India), Shanghai (China) and Osaka (Japan).
Our team is international and multicultural with more than 10 nationalities
represented, which enables us to adapt our services to local cultures and customs.
Most of our employees and management team have a double background in technology
and marketing. They have gained significant experience from the industries
SpecialChem serves, working previously for chemicals suppliers recognized for their
leading position in marketing and innovation.
SpecialChem Management Team
Christophe Cabarry, Chief Executive Officer, Founder
Christophe Cabarry began his career with Elf Atochem (now Arkema), as Supply Chain
Manager in a new compounding plant in Eastern Germany. Then he was in charge of
defining and implementing the commercial and industrial strategy of Elf Atochem
Vinyl Division in Central and Eastern Europe.
Two years before founding SpecialChem, Christophe was appointed to the department
of strategic planning where he was in charge of competitive watch, the evaluation
of investment opportunities as well as international M&A opportunities.
Christophe holds a Master Degree from the Ecole Centrale de Paris and an MBA from
the ESC Toulouse Business School.
Bernard Hasson, Chief Operating Officer, Founder
As Chief Operating Officer, Bernard Hasson brings to the company his strong background
in business development and management in the chemical industry.
He began his career working for Elf Atochem (now Arkema) in Germany where he was
in charge of technology watch and environmental communication. Subsequently he managed
the business development of plastics in the emerging countries of Central Europe.
Then, as Project Manager, he was in charge of building of a petrochemical plant
in Poland.
Bernard holds an MBA from H.E.C. Business School and speaks five languages fluently.
Vincent Cadoret, Chief Technology Officer
Vincent Cadoret has strong experience in Information Technology, including artificial
intelligence, information retrieval, search engine technology and project management.
He is in charge of the IT division at SpecialChem.
Vincent Cadoret began his career by leading a research project on utterance analysis
in a dialog system. As Product Manager, he managed a team to develop terminology
and nomenclature building with Lexiquest, a company with 20 years experience in the
area of natural language processing for search engines. In 1997 he joined Dalet,
(a global provider of professional software for traditional and new media broadcasters),
as project manager for multimedia broadcasting.
Vincent holds a Ph.D from the France Telecom Research Center (CNET).
Dr. Hervé Heinrich, Vice President Coatings, Adhesives & Sealants
Hervé Heinrich is leading SpecialChem's Coatings, Adhesives and Sealants
(CAS) Business Unit.
Hervé has 12 years experience in the adhesives industry. After his MS in
wood adhesives chemistry he joined the R&D of Atofindley (now Bostik), as lead
formulator for woodworking adhesives. During this period of 4 years he received
his PhD in wood adhesives chemistry / industrial technologies.
Before joining SpecialChem, he spent 6 years in the purchasing organization
of Bostik, including the last 4 years as Purchasing Director for the French organization,
and as European Purchasing Coordinator for the purchase of Industrial Adhesives
raw materials.
Louis Larrègle, Chief Financial Officer
Louis Larrègle started his career in management & cost control at Crédit
Agricole, one of Europe's leading bankers. He was responsible for the investment
budgets.
Louis holds a BA in Business Administration and a Master from INSEEC Bordeaux Business
School, with a major in Cost & Management Control.
Raphael Mestanza, Vice President Plastics Technology, Chief Technical Advisor
Thanks to his very broad and applied knowledge of polymer science, Raphael Mestanza
is SpecialChem technology expert for Plastics and Elastomers.
In 1994, after two years as project leader in reactive extrusion with Solvay (Belgium),
he joined GE Plastics Europe (now Sabic IP). He was in charge of Polycarbonate Compounding
and technical development. In 1998, he joined Polytechs SA, a company specialized
in toll compounding and masterbatches. Later, he was Sales and Marketing Manager for
France and South Europe.
Raphael holds a Ph.D and an Engineering Degree in Polymer Science from the University
of Strasbourg (France) and a Masters Degree in Organic Chemistry.
Dr. Duane Priddy, Global Vice President, Business Development
Duane Priddy has more than 20 years experience in chemicals, with a strong focus
on plastics and innovative businesses. He has worked internationally for both
Dow Chemical and Bayer AG.
As one of the original founding members of Omnexus, Duane is driving the SpecialChem
business development with his experience from multiple perspectives including research,
technical marketing, product/sales management and technology.
Duane has a Ph.D. in Organic Polymer Chemistry from Virginia Tech. He also holds
8 patents and has authored 25 scientific publications. Duane lives in Atlanta, GA, USA.
Séverine Ranc Seyvet, Operations Director, Coatings, Adhesives & Sealants
With 10 years spent in the chemical industry, Severine Ranc Seyvet has developed
her expertise in Structural Adhesives & Composites, having worked for leading
companies such as Hexcel Composites and Vantico (now Huntsman Advanced Materials).
Séverine started her career in Product Development and Technical Support
roles then moved on to Business Development and Marketing functions.
Séverine holds a BSc in Materials Science (France) and is a Chartered Marketer from
the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
Emmanuel Rapendy, Marketing Director
Emmanuel Rapendy began his career as an application chemist in Coatings and Inks
at Sartomer (Total) in the greater Philadelphia area.
Before leading SpecialChem's marketing department, Emmanuel worked at different
project management positions, dealing with specialty chemicals and materials marketing
projects. He holds a MSc. in Chemistry and Chemical engineering from ESCOM (France).
Aldric Tourres, Vice President, Plastics
Aldric Tourres is heading SpecialChem's Plastics Business Unit.
Aldric brings his mixed technical and marketing background to SpecialChem to bridge the gap between technical innovation and market trends.
After obtaining his MBA in B-to-B Marketing in 1998, he joined Bayer AG (now Lanxess) and was responsible for the market launch of new specialty chemicals. In 2003, he moved to GE plastics (today Sabic IP) and was responsible for business development of performance polymers at key European accounts involved in various industrial markets.
Aldric holds an Engineering Degree in Polymer Science from ESCOM (France) and a
B-to-B Marketing Degree from E.M. Lyon Business School.
Bruno Trinquart, Vice President, Cosmetics
Bruno Trinquart is leading SpecialChem's Cosmetics Business Unit.
With an extensive background in the cosmetic industry, Bruno brings technical expertise
as well as his strategic vision of the industry to SpecialChem.
Bruno has 13 years of experience at global cosmetic raw material manufacturers,
namely Lonza, 3V Sigma and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. He started his career in a
technical position then moved on to sales and marketing. He spent the last 7 years
at Ciba Specialty Chemicals, managing strategic cosmetic accounts.
Bruno holds a Master Degree in Biochemistry completed along with Master degrees in Management
and Industrial Marketing.
Sonia Vij, General Manager SpecialChem India
Sonia assisted SpecialChem with the creation of its subsidiary in India and is now
responsible for the management of the local SpecialChem team in charge of all back-office
tasks related to website content editing, management and telesales.
As a creative quality-oriented professional, Sonia brings to SpecialChem her strong
business skills and knowledge of the chemical industry.Before joining SpecialChem,
she worked as a content editor at Innodata Isogen.
Sonia holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from Delhi University (India).
Jan Weernink, Global Vice President, Business Development
Jan Weernink brings over 15 years of international experience in chemicals to SpecialChem.
He has developed a strong focus on paints and coatings and related industries supplemented
with experience in Personal Care and Biopolymers.
He has worked for leading companies involved in paints and coatings (Benjamin Moore,
Zeneca – now Lubrizol –, PURAC and Elementis) and started his career as a Development
Chemist followed by Global Marketing and Global Product Management roles. Jan is
driving the SpecialChem business development with his broad and global experience
in coatings, technology, marketing and sales.
Jan holds an MBA, a BSc in Chemical Engineering and has published various articles
in leading industry magazines. Jan lives in Antwerp, Belgium.
